CPR, First AID, AED COURSES
This hands-on skills training prepares students to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies. Useful take-home course
materials help you retain skills and serve as an excellent refresher and reference tool after training is complete. Updated with
the latest science for CPR and emergency cardiovascular care. CPR—Child and Infant Designed for childcare providers,
teachers, parents and others who care for children, this course teaches participants how to recognize and care for breathing
and cardiac emergencies in infants and children up to 12 years old. Optional child AED training is also available. Standard First
Aid Learn the skills needed to prevent, recognize and provide basic care for injuries and sudden illnesses. This course covers
first aid in an approach that complements adult learning styles, featuring hands-on practice and real-life scenarios. Meets OSHA
First Aid Guidelines
The CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer courses will have two certificate options.
Lifeguards and general public taking this course will receive the CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer certificate
valid for one year. All medical field course participants will receive the CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer
and Healthcare Provider certificate, valid for two years.
BABYSITTER TRAINING
If you’re 11 to 15 years old, you can get the knowledge, skills and confidence to care for infants and school-age children.
This course shows you how to— • Respond to emergencies and illnesses with first aid, rescue breathing and other
appropriate care • Make decisions under pressure • Communicate with parents to learn household rules • Recognize safety
and hygiene issues • Manage young children • Feed, diaper and care for infants Bring a lunch.
PET FIRST AID
Pet First Aid is a valuable resource for dog and cat owners as well as dog handlers for therapy dogs, police K-9 units and search and
rescue units. The new manual includes information for dogs and cats of all sizes, how to keep them healthy, prepare for an emergency,
how to recognize and respond to a medical emergency until veterinary care is available. Pet First Aid is bundled with a DVD in the back
cover that demonstrates how to perform many of the first aid steps described in the book. The DVD is closed captioned for the hearing
impaired.
WILDERNESS FIRST AID
Wilderness First Aid Basics is a 15-hour program that is designed for those who work, live, or play in remote areas such as rural
areas , wilderness and back-country environments. This course contains the module “When Help is Delayed” and provides an
excellent program for boaters, camp workers, scouts, hikers and other outdoor sports enthusiasts. Prerequisite: Ages 15 and above.
Participant(s) must be able to hike short distances to remote sites and simulate rescues. What to bring: Hiking materials; boots;
indoor / outdoor clothing; notebook and pencils; first aid kit; snacks and beverages Certificates: Wilderness First Aid and When Help
is Delayed Length: approximately 15 hours

Tips for you to choose the best course for you: If you are interested in learning General Care steps, you should take Adult/ Child/Infant CPR,AED, 1st Aid If you are a Doctor, Nurse, EMT or Paramedic then you need CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer and Health-Care Provider 2yr certification If you are a Lifeguard or just want more advanced training you should take Professional Rescuer CPR/AED 1yr certification (taught same day as Health- Care Provider) If you are a Child Care Professional, you need Adult CPR/AED, Child/Infant CPR, and 1st Aid If you are applying for a Teacher Certification in Tennessee, you need Adult/ Child/ CPR,1st Aid If you wish to Challenge and you have a certification not over 1yr old you may take this class. You must pass a written test and then a skills test with no help from the instructor.
